HOUSTON, TX, OCtober 24, 2011 – 2011 marks the 18th Annual Woman Business Owner of the Year Gala sponsored by the Greater Houston Chapter of NAWBO. WBOY is not about the size of the business, but the passion of the woman running the business! NAWBO takes pride in the fact that this is the only award given to women business owners by women business owners!
NAWBO works in conjunction with the other organizations that represent women interests on the work environment such as WBEA and WBENC to create this year list. From the original the list of 20 candidates 10 finalist were chosen by the Greater Houston Chapter of NAWBO board of directors.

Ten Area Women Business Owners Named as Finalists
Houston, TX… The Houston Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO Houston) has announced the ten finalists for the 2001 Woman Business Owner of the Year Award.
This is the 18th year that NAWBO Houston has given this award to a local woman business owner who has demonstrated excellence as a business owner, shown initiative and creativity in overcoming obstacles in her business, has civic and community involvement and professional accomplishments and contributions. This award is not about the size of the business, but passion of the woman running the business. NAWBO Houston takes pride in the fact that this is the only award given to women business owners by women business owners.
The finalists this year are:

The winner will be selected by the NAWBO Houston Board of Directors and will receive her award at the Woman Business Owner of the Year Gala on October 27, 2011. This year the Gala will be held at The Houston Club, with cocktails at 6:00PM and Dinner and Program at 7:00PM.
